Some horses make an impression the moment they walk into the ring. Havallo, affectionately known as Olaf, is one of them.
The inspiration behind our newest Novella Equestrian collection, Havallo is a true show ring standout. American-bred, endlessly accomplished, and known by nearly everyone who has had the pleasure of watching him compete. With an impressive history in the show ring, as memorable as his personality, Havallo has earned his reputation as a champion on nearly every level.
A Gold Medal Grand Prix star, Havallo has spent many horse shows with our Founder’s horse, Rayne, and has become a familiar favorite in the barn aisle. Despite his impressive career and undeniable presence, those who know him best would probably say his perfect day includes a nap, a quiet walk on a long rein, and making sure dinner arrives exactly on time.
What makes Havallo so special is not just what he has accomplished, but the way he carries himself through it all. He brings a calm, confident, and completely unfazed presence to the atmosphere around him; he embodies the spirit of a true athlete.
For this collection, we wanted to capture that same feeling: refined, classic, confident, and rooted in the world of horses we love so much. The Havallo Collection was created with the modern equestrian in mind, someone who appreciates pieces that feel elevated, intentional, and timeless, both in and out of the barn.
We were also lucky enough to photograph Havallo alongside Emma, who has groomed him for her mom, Havallo’s owner and rider, for the past ten years. Their bond brought an added layer of meaning to the shoot, and we are so grateful to Emma and Havallo’s team for allowing us to share a piece of his story through this collection.
The Havallo Collection is a tribute to a horse with presence, heart, and a legacy worth celebrating.
