At Novella Equestrian, inspiration does not always arrive in the expected order.
Some pieces begin with a horse and their story. Others begin as a vision: a feeling translated into design before a name has ever been spoken. The Faith was one of those rare in-between moments.
Last September, we created a design that felt undeniably special. Soft, feminine, and striking, yet it belonged to no horse we knew. So, we did something different. We asked you.
Without revealing a single detail of the design, we invited our community to share their horses. Their stories, personalities, looks, and everything in between. What followed was an outpouring of connection and deeply personal narratives. Among them, one stood out in a way that was just right.
Her name was Faith.
A 10-year-old AQHA mare, Faith, had once stepped elegantly through the hunter ring. Today, she carries her adult amateur rider through Training Level dressage with the same confidence. Faith is steady, kind, and endlessly forgiving. She is the kind of horse who restores trust after fear, who offers reassurance without asking for anything in return.
From bringing her rider back into the saddle after a frightening injury, to giving pony rides to her owner’s beginner grandmother. She is a true lady.
It was not just her story that matched the design; it was her spirit. Sweet, with the prettiest “doe eyes” and a love for all things pink and purple.
